Even before Jim gave a talk at the 2002 Legacy conference in Austin, he had been an advocate for seeing that the benefits of the Moore Method were made available to all. He attributed his success as an engineer and entrepreneur largely to his exposure to it in the classes of Bill Mahavier and John Neuberger at Illinois Institute of Technology.
