Plane Geometry: An IBL Opportunity

This talk will trace the history of plane geometry as a central IBL experience, from its beginning in ancient Greece to the many pitfalls that led to its demise in the late 20th century.

This will be followed by a modern axiomatic version of IBL geometry that has overcome these pitfalls, and is now available as a beginning IBL experience for instructors and students alike.
