Using Online Tools to Enhance Communication in IBL Classes

The presenters will discuss how they use online tools to enhance communication in their IBL classes.  These tools allow students to communicate before class which proofs they are ready to present, where they are stuck, and what questions they have, which allows the instructor to more effectively facilitate class presentations and discussions. 

Furthermore, after proofs are presented, students can post their finished proofs online.  If desired, these tools can also provide an online question forum where students can post and answer each other’s questions. 

Audience members will be encouraged to share their own experiences using online tools in IBL classes.
