The University of Texas hosted a second annual Legacy of R.L. Moore Conference April 7th, 8th, and 9th, 1999. Held at the Alumni Center, the conference was a success, with many taped panel discussions and interviews.

Donald J. Albers is Associate Executive Director of the Mathematical Association of America and Director of Publications for the Association.

R. D. Anderson is a Professor Emeritus at Louisiana State University, past President of the Mathematical Association of American, past Vice President of the American Mathematical Society, and currently, a Senior Consultant for Louisiana Systemic Initiatives Program.

Louis A. Beecherl, Jr. is past Chairman of the Board of Regents of the University of Texas. He has a family connection to R. L. Moore.

Jerry L. Bona holds a Chair in Applied Mathematics and Computation at the University of Texas.

Patrick J. Callahan is a Research Associate in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at the

University of Texas.

Jerome Dancis is an Associate Professor of Mathematics at the University of Maryland.

Keith J. Devlin is Dean at St. Mary's College and a well-known author of books about mathematics, as well as mathematical monographs.
