Presentation of an IBL Mathematics Seminar to Middle School Teachers

A week long EAF funded academic enhancement seminar for area middle school mathematics teachers was conducted recently by mathematics faculty members at the University of Texas. The purpose of the seminar was to deepen the mathematics content knowledge of the participating teachers and to expose the teachers to IBL teaching methods. A presentation of the foundational mathematics topics covered and IBL methods used in the seminar will be discussed.
