I like What You Talked about, But WHAT DO YOU DO?

We describe the day-to-day classroom mechanics associated with two pedagogies: the Modified Moore Method (M3) and the Pure Moore Method (M2).  For those seeking a more active learning environment, M3 can provide a gentle transition toward allowing student presentations while still using standard textbooks and grading schemes.  M3 is simple to understand and implement, with almost no risk and significant reward.  M2 provides a better learning environment for the students, demands more of the instructor, and can be fantastically rewarding for both student and instructor when properly implemented.
